Ed Miliband Still Peddling Climate Change Snake Oil

Labour leadership contender Ed Miliband is still trying to get the wealth redistribution scheme Climate Change scam restarted after the COP 15 Copenhagen fiasco.

Just weeks before the General Election Ed Miliband was trying to get the whole AGW circus going again and tie which ever party won to the Church of Climatology for ever.

Gordon Brown might thankfully be gone, but his understudy is even more zealous than Brown and might just become the new Labour Party leader, fingers crossed.

Writing the in the Guardian Ed is evangelising the gospel according to Al Gore:

It has been a tough six months for those that care about tackling climate change. Despite the disappointment of Copenhagen, for the first time there was agreement to limit warming to 2C and commit all major countries, including both the US and China, to reducing their emissions. But since then progress has stalled. The Obama administration has failed to pass any climate change legislation and there is no momentum building for the forthcoming summit in Cancún this November.

More than ever, Britain and the world need leadership. But our prime minister has been completely silent on the issue. He has decided not to chair the UN group on climate finance which is vital to getting to an agreement and there is no sign of any pressure on the EU or our international allies. Instead he opts for empty gestures, claming to be the “greenest government ever” while showing no leadership at all. We’ve had the huskies and the soundbites, but where is the resolve, the willingness to make tough choices and the plan to deliver?

I believe that climate change is the greatest global threat facing our generation. It demands leadership and resolve. It should be at the very heart of our plan for a successful economy, at the centre of our foreign policy and integral to our mission to change Britain.

The plan is to change Britain, The EU, the whole industrialised world by giving our wealth away to the third world.

Secondly, the government should not raid the UK aid budget to pay for climate change projects. There have been alarming reports that the coalition is considering lifting the cap that Labour imposed on climate finance spending. We made our commitment so that money is not diverted from tackling international poverty. It is vital that the vast majority of the aid budget remains focused on tackling poverty and the government must make this clear.

The wealth redistribution scheme surfaces again, we should take care of our own first, we have homeless ex-service people and as a result of the last Labour government more children in poverty than 20 years ago, these should be our first priority, not stuffing the Swiss bank accounts of third world dictators.

Thirdly, the government should be pushing the EU to commit to a second period of the Kyoto protocol, which enshrines developed countries’ responsibility to cut their emissions first and fastest. This would send an important signal to developing countries The Guardian

This last statement demonstrates just how dangerous, or is it stupid, that Ed Miliband the Climate Change Nut is, Miliband is making statements like this in the same week that the EU backed away from the Kyoto stupidity.
