I think they are calling it climate challenge now. I guess that fits with the riots and all.
Why don’t you deniers just admit that you are wrong. Did you know that it’s hot in Egypt? See? There! Proof!
Well, let’s think about it for a second.
Mubarak has been dictator of Egypt for 30 years. Why NOW? What changed over the last year or so that made the Egyptians suddenly decide now was the time for him to go?
Hey Karmakazi!
Just because it is happening right now does not mean that there has been a big change. Some times things build up slowly. Volcanoes just sit there, slowly building up pressure until one day the pressure becomes too great and BANG! In this case, I think we have had two things building up. First, resentment against the government as more and more people find that they and their famalies have been directly affected by the corruption. Secondly, information — due to the growth in digital information exchange — has built up until the average person realizes that what he sees on the mainstream media is a lie.
All the ‘climate change’ or ‘AGW’ believers, should be stood up, in front of a firing squad, and shot, as they are extremely mentally deficient…
I do not believe in human caused global warming, but I do believe high food prices and food shortages are a major cause of the rioting in Egypt. Many are not rioting for radical Islam or democracy, but for food. Forty percent of USA corn and grains from around the world are used to make government mandated ethanol and bio fuels. This decreases the supply of grain and drives up prices. The increased price of bread and rice annoys us in the USA, but is a major crisis is poor countries where food is around 50% of the monthly household budget.
Good point Rod. So it appears that Global Warming Policy is the culprit. Food shortages are caused by irrational responses to climate changes using state interventions into otherwise free markets. More to follow.
Wait for this unrest to move West chaps. What with sharks at sharm el sheik… Holidays will be dirt cheap soon. HURRAH
This is a big lie. Just try to look who is behind all these. You’ll see the same faces…
Since when democracy and freedom are related to wars and riots? Not far away just look for past 15 years… and see what happened
