Yet another planning application for wind turbines has been rejected, this time on appeal.
REG power had wanted to build 3 of the 125 metre tall bird choppers on Cheverton Down, an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Isle of Wight.
On Tuesday national planning inspector John Woolcock announced he had dismissed the appeal: Read the rest of this entry
This is one of those rare win win stories, a win because a sensible idea that will help with US energy security for many years to come has been given the green light, and a further win because in making that decision Obama’s regime has angered the Greens and other eco mentalists who are against any form of economic progress that is not written in the scriptures of the Church of Climatology.
Keystone XL is a 1700 mile pipeline that will stretch from Alberta in Canada to refineries in Texas and Oklahoma, the pipeline will be buried 4 feet underground and have switch off points every 20 miles.
As usual the eco mentalists and some key players in the Great Global Warming Scam like James Hansen, are crying out about wolves made of CO2, environmental holocaust, and all the usual things to be frightened of: Read the rest of this entry
As the great Global Warming Scam continues to unravel one thing is becoming clear, without the bi-partisan support of all political parties, Climate Disruption is really a socialist/liberal/eco mentalist agenda concerned mostly with wealth redistribution and the bizarre desire to abandon post industrial revolution living standards.
News that Texas Governor Rick Perry is going to stand in the US 2012 Presidential Elections were greeted with howls of hysteria and derision by the left with the Guardian giving a platform to the junk science NGO and eco terrorist supporting Grist.org.
The Republican victory in the US mid term elections on 2010 brought an immediate change in climate for the Climate Scammers with the announcement that it was “heads on poles time” for the junk scientists and other AGW scammers: Read the rest of this entry
News that there are now 1 billion cars on the world’s roads has got the eco mentalists running around in circles and barking at the moon.
For some reason the Church of Climatology was expecting China to be different from the rest of the world where sales of electric cars in Britain and the US are declining sharply. In Britain attempts are being made to help with range anxiety by installing charging points at motorway service stations, while in America charging points are being removed as there is no demand for them.
China is now rethinking the whole electric car idea on the grounds of cost and what are politely called technical concerns: Read the rest of this entry
The Wind Farm, the single most useless form of reliable electricity generation yet invented, and the second most expensive for consumers after biomass.
This is probably the most ridiculous fear scenario that the Church of Climatology have ever come out with, we could be attacked by aliens monitoring us from space because of our obscene CO2 emissions, which having failed to increase global temperatures, could still piss off alien life forms.
What is worse these aliens might be green, that’s not green as in little green creatures from Alpha Centuri, but green as in eco mentalist green: Read the rest of this entry
The Crown Prosecution Service has requested more evidence from Essex Police in their investigation into allegations that Chris “Family Values” Huhne got his estranged wife Vicky Pryce to take penalty points for a speeding offence that Huhne committed.
Since the whole story started Huhne has tried to hide behind his family, using various tactics to try to protect his career; this culminated with Essex Police on July 2nd raiding Price’s home and seizing a mobile phone belonging to their 18 year old son.
The CPS have had the file on Huhne and now they are requesting more evidence from Essex Police: Read the rest of this entry
The wind turbine symbol of all that is good, renewable, green and politically correct is in reality an environmental holocaust for the countries like China that manufacture components for them, a subsidised failure at reliable electricity generation globally, they blight the lives of people forced to live within their shadow and they kill birds in huge numbers.
Yesterday Aardvark blogged about the desecration of the D Day beaches by bird choppers and finished the post with “Now if the area around the Normandy beaches were home to a threatened species of aquatic fruit bat then every NGO from Greenpeace to the WWF would be up in arms,” seems that Aardvark was wrong Wind Turbines are, in fact, the most sacred icon in the political Church of Climatology: Read the rest of this entry
