The World Will End (Again) In 2025

The latest scary fear story from the dying Church of Climatology, the world will end in 2025

The run up to any UN climate conference always brings forth a new crop of silly fear stories to pile on the pressure for an agreement, the problem for the warming alarmists and their use of this tactic is, the number of failed predictions soon stack up.

The fear stories have been many: 20 – 30% of animal and plant species will die said the head of the IPCC, all the Arctic sea ice was going to be gone by the summer of 2012 instead Arctic sea ice is currently at record levels especially in the Barents Sea.

Then there was the Alien Invasion fear story where aliens,  being of similar intellectual capabilities and mindsets as warming alarmists,  were going to come to Earth and punish with extreme prejudice, the emitters of obscene levels of CO2.

COP17 gave dire predictions of the world as we know it ending in 2017, still the good news is we now have 8 more years before the second coming of Al Gore, or the world ends, or something….

The work, appearing in Nature, reads somewhat like the screenplay for a disaster movie, with the authors making urgent calls for unified global action. “Humans have not done anything really important to stave off the worst because the social structures for doing something just aren’t there,” said Mooers. “My colleagues who study climate-induced changes through the Earth’s history are more than pretty worried. In fact, some are terrified.”

That is the problem with propaganda and the Liberal mind, eventually you end up believing your own propaganda.

Currently, to support a population of 7 billion people, about 43 percent of Earth’s land surface has been converted to agricultural or urban use, with roads cutting through much of the remainder. Current trends suggest that half the Earth’s land surface will be human-transformed by 2025.

“It really will be a new world, biologically, at that point,” warns Anthony Barnosky, professor of integrative biology at the University of California, Berkeley, and lead author of the new paper. “The data suggests that there will be a reduction in biodiversity and severe impacts on much of what we depend on to sustain our quality of life, including, for example, fisheries, agriculture, forest products and clean water. This could happen within just a few generations.”

Another co-author, Elizabeth Hadly from Stanford University, thinks we may already be past these tipping points in particular regions of the world. “I just returned from a trip to the high Himalayas in Nepal, where I witnessed families fighting each other with machetes for wood – wood that they would burn to cook their food in one evening. In places where governments are lacking basic infrastructure, people fend for themselves, and biodiversity suffers. We desperately need global leadership for planet Earth,” she reports.

The One World Government solution would partially cure the problem, but as usual the real solution is to cull humans.

Mooers is more blunt, saying that “society globally has to collectively decide that we need to drastically lower our population very quickly. More of us need to move to optimal areas at higher density and let parts of the planet recover. Folks like us [developed nations] have to be forced to be materially poorer, at least in the short term.

There is no doubt that environmentalists hate people, just recently Paul Ehrlich stated that 80% of then worlds population needed to be got rid of, Ehrlich is just the tip of the kill the humans iceberg in the Green movement.

You have to wonder at the mindset of the people who make these predictions, so far not one of the disaster scenarios has ever happened yet they continue to hope that they will be right and some terrible disaster will befall the population of planet Earth.

As one event fails to happen so they shift the date back a few years and wait and hope for Armageddon.

  1. What’s really scary is how are these nut jobs planning to cull humanity?

  2. What’s really scary is how you nutjobs take this man seriously, especially considering he doesn’t actually do any research himself, but just regurgitates the tired verbal diarrhoea of some other pseudo-hack!

  3. Jay Donnelly

The climate change “realists”/sceptics always remind me of the episode of “the Simpsons”
where the local astronomical observatory identifies an asteroid on a catastrophic collision
course with the earth. When the townsfolk call out “What do we do !?!?!?!?!?!?” the
Springfield version of Tory Aardvark yells back “Blow up the observatory!”.

  4. The warmists and greens generally always remind me of the crowds following Brian in the film of his life. Idiots who need someone to follow because they have no independent mind of their own, always ready to accept uncritically any nonsense spewed out by alleged ‘scientists’. Musn’t question the ‘science’

Except of course the scientific concensus that GM is generally good for us. The greens think those ‘scientists’ are arrogant. How’s that for double think?

  5. When you read the source material, sCeptics always come off looking like idiots. Take Aardvark for example and his flippant comment on the Arctic being ice free by 2012.

To set the stage: 2007 was the year where we have had the biggest recorded reduction in Arctic ice. NASA climate scientist Jay Zwally said at the time: “At this rate, the Arctic Ocean could be nearly ice-free at the end of summer by 2012, much faster than previous predictions.”

“At this rate”. Well that sounds reasonable to me. He didn’t say that the Arctic would be ice free, he said that if the melt rate continued at the extraordinary pace of 2007 it COULD be NEARLY ice-free. Why is that crucial qualifier left out of the sCeptic analysis?

Lies by omission are still lies.

  6. Good Lord, it’s Drewski AKA the Cool Whip Cowboy! You spend more time on denier sites than I do Cool Whip!!!

  7. Anyway, my comment is this… would Elizabeth Hadly from Stanford University, just returned from a trip to the high Himalayas in Nepal, have “witnessed families fighting each other with machetes for wood – wood that they would burn to cook their food in one evening.” if cheap fossil fueled energy was available for, oh I don’t know…. cooking?

I know there aren’t many trees in Scotland but really, how abundant are they in the high Himalayas of Nepal?

Oh, and Cool Whip, no need to emphasize the “COULD” and “NEARLY” we deniers have been complaining about those very same weasel words for many years. Glad you’re finally catching on.
