One of the reasons the Greens use to justify the billions in wasted subsidies for wind and solar power is Green jobs, though as usual with the warming alarmists lasting Green jobs, like Anthropogenic Global Warming is just another fiction.

The US House of Representatives concluded in a report that there is no such thing as lasting Green jobs, in fact,  Green jobs because of the huge subsidies they require are a net killer of jobs.

Globally the Green taxation that is renewable energy’s life blood is being cut, as the subsidies are cut  the illusory Green jobs are lost, so  now is the time for the warmists to widen the definition of Green jobs to support their claims that Green will be the economic driver of the future.

REP. ISSA: If I asked you a question. You know the answer. Would you please answer it. If you sweep the floor in a solar panel facility, is that a green job?

MR. GALVIN: Yes.

REP. ISSA: Thank you. If you drive a hybrid bus — public transportation — is that a green job?

MR. GALVIN: According to our definition, yes.

REP. ISSA: Thank you. What if you’re a college professor teaching classes about environmental studies?

MR. GALVIN: Yes.

REP. ISSA: What about just any school bus driver?

MR. GALVIN: Yes.

REP. ISSA: What about the guy who puts gas in the school bus?

MR. GALVIN: Yes.

REP. ISSA: How about employees at a bicycle shop?

MR. GALVIN: I guess I’m not sure about that.

REP. ISSA: The answer is yes, according to your definition. And you’ve got a lot of them. What about a clerk at the bicycle repair shop?

MR. GALVIN: Yes.

All the Greens have done is rebadge existing jobs as  Green jobs, for example a guy who works in an antique shop is a Green job because antiques are defined as recycling, someone who pumps ethanol at a gas station has a Green job and so on.

Now we know where all these millions of Green jobs are coming from, not from Green technology that is the ultimate oxymoron, no the Green jobs are existing jobs, we just didn’t know it.
