The warming alarmists and their MSM propaganda machine have been beside themselves with glee with the record recent low in Arctic Sea Ice extent that  has been repeatedly used,  as the conclusive proof that Anthropogenic Global Warming is real and happening much sooner than their sacred computer models predicted.

The record Arctic Sea Ice low was due to a cyclone which started on August 20th as this video from NASA shows:

Normally so ready to quote to NASA sources the Green propaganda machine has ignored this inconvenient truth, as well as what is happening in the Southern Hemisphere where Antarctic Sea Ice is setting new records, with the largest extent recorded since records began.

Really the qualifier in all this is when records began, always omitted by the Global Warming Industry, satellite monitoring of sea ice extents began in 1979, which in the timeline of this planets life is barely a minute fraction of a nanosecond, in short we have 33 years of data, which at best can be used for very cautious and limited trend analysis, especially when you consider there is not one climate computer model whose predictions have come anywhere near real world observation.

The real question is why when the Arctic has only about 2% of the planet’s ice, and Antarctica has 90% of the world’s ice are the warming alarmist scientists and propagandists so concerned about the Arctic?
