That’s 5 UNFCCC COP failures in a row, an unprecedented record of failure, each Conference of the Parties has disintegrated faster than the COP that preceded it, with COP19 holding the current record.
There was never any doubt, from the outset that COP19 was going to be the biggest failure since records began, what has been surprising is the speed of that collapse, COP19 was effectively dead before it had begun.
It has just taken 5 days for COP19 to realize it was dead and hit the floor.
The make or break issue for COP19 was “loss and damage“, wealth redistribution to us regular folks and that great Green Socialist Barack Obama made sure that loss and damage was deader than Osama Bin Laden, before COP19 even started. Read the rest of this entry
Dateline December 1st 2008 Poznan, Poland the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) 14th Conference of the Parties (COP) is underway.
The world 5 years ago was a vastly different place than it is today, fear of Anthropogenic Global Warming was still in the ascendancy, Al Gore and Rajendra Pachauri were taken seriously, fawning Liberal politicians hang on their every word, Green NGO’s like Greenpeace, WWF and FoE have the ear of politicians and their Green propaganda is included in IPCC Assessment reports as observed scientific fact.
The outcome of COP14 was as always with COP meetings the gateway to the big deal on Climate that was going to happen at the next COP meeting, in this case COP15 in Copenhagen.
As COP14 progressed there was no sign on the horizon of the gathering storms clouds of Climategate, the Greens, warming alarmists and Liberals were confident, the election of the Boy King Obama in the US was going to bring the impetus to force through the climate deal in Hopenhagen.
The Friends of the Earth International website for that day is upbeat and full of optimism: Read the rest of this entry
Just about 6 months ago the latest UN Climate Circus meeting, COP18 in Doha finished, just like it’s predecessors from COP15 onwards, COP18 was an unmitigated failure.
From the start COP18 was doomed, the plummeting attendance levels seen at COP17 continued with COP18, the conference being less well attended then even COP17 was.
What really made COP18 a spectacular failure was the conduct of the COP18 President Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah during the closing stages of the conference, where desperate to find a successor to the failed Kyoto Protocol that expired on December 31st 2012, Al-Attiyah effectively forced through new non binding Kyoto texts.
The Kyoto amendment was tabled by the grasping hands of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) who will stop at nothing to get their Climate Justice money, the money they were promised for playing along with the AGW scam and perpetuating the lie that their islands are under threat from sea levels that are not rising, naturally the amendment was backed by those strongholds of Green foolishness Europe and Australia.

One of the really sad aspects of the whole Anthropogenic Global Warming scam is the impact of Green interference on the wild life they so stridently claim to be protecting.
Wind turbines kill birds and bats by the million, many of the things done to save this or that from whatever the current Green cause celebre is, have exactly the opposite effect as Austrian filmmaker Ulrich Eichelmann discovered while making his new film Climate Crimes:
Ulrich Eichelmann who was an active member of WWF for 17 years and worked in conservation for decades, now documents that it is rather the reverse: he shows how many ecosystems, species, habitats and the cultural heritage too are threatened – but, as he sums up, “not by climate change, but by climate protection and the things done in its name.”
What has happened in the Solomon Islands is a tragic case of environmental protectionism gone wrong, Read the rest of this entry
The outcome of COP18 did at least last a little bit longer than COP17, where just 1 day after COP17 finished, Canada exercised its legal right to withdraw from the Kyoto protocol stating that “Kyoto was not the way forward for Canada or the world“.
So it is no real surprise to learn that once again Kyoto is rapidly eroding what little COP18 achieved, which in essence was 37 countries agreeing to a non legally binding extension of Kyoto to run until 2020, not one major CO2 emitting country has signed up.
The scale of the Green defeat at Doha can be quantified by the fact that the 37 countries emit just 15% of the scary CO2 emissions, and the majority of the 15% (11%) comes from the EU block of nations.
The way that the new Kyoto texts were forced through by the COP18 President Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah at the close of the meeting is causing problems for the outcome: Read the rest of this entry
There is always a danger that when repeating your own propaganda and lies, you brainwash yourself into believing your own lies.
Take for example the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), AOSIS is a coterie of 43 Island nations all cynically repeating the we must prevent a 2°C temperature rise, claiming that their islands are sinking beneath the non rising sea levels, and in the case of the Maldives planning a new airport to be in service long after the islands were allegedly going to disappear.
As COP18 grinds inexorably towards failure, the people attending refuse to acknowledge that there has been no warming for 16 years, a period longer than the warming period that underpins the whole Anthropogenic Global Warming boondoggle. Read the rest of this entry
One of the major driving forces behind the Anthropogenic Global Warming scam is wealth redistribution and who controls the gathering and distribution of that wealth.
Up for grabs, assuming the UN can find any country or business to put money into it, is the US $100 billion Climate Fund to mitigate the non existent impact of man made climate change; no one is falling over themselves to contribute dollar one but already there is deadlock over who would control this fund. Developing nations for some reason want the worlds most corrupt organisation, the UN to control the fund, other nations the World Bank.
Now the developing nations are standing with their hands out for our money: Read the rest of this entry
