German Chancellor Angela Merkel has fired her Environment Minister Norbert Röttgen for being Green and believing that renewables can power an industrial economy like Germany.
Merkel is a very astute politician and determined to hang on to power, Germany has often been quoted by the ecomentalists as leading the Green transition disaster in Europe, which is exactly what Merkel wanted people to believe.
The reality is different Merkel wanted to pay political lip service to the Green Dream while in reality, doing as little as possible, so chosing an ardent Green ecomentalist was a rare mistake for Merkel.
This last winter the lights nearly went out in Germany and the outlook for this winter is still far from certain.

Stricter financial rules in Germany now mean that off shore wind farms can no longer be financed by banks
Germany is in a serious mess with its energy supplies, the German government was stupid enough to bow to the hysterical screams of the Green environmental lobby and shut down all its nuclear power stations.
The Greens rejoiced, prematurely as usual, that nasty bunny bothering reliable nuclear power was gone, Germany would be powered by the Green dream of solar and wind power, what could possibly go wrong?

Economic Reality & The EU’s Leadership On Climate Change

The warming alarmists take great pride in leading the way, taking the moral high ground, being morally superior in the vain and ill founded hope that other nations will follow their example and commit economic suicide.
The reality is that while one nation commits economic suicide, the others look on in wonderment, Australia’s carbon tax has proved so politically divisive that the Australian Labor Party got hammered at the polls, British Columbia enacted a bold set of climate change policies and assumed others would follow.
Assumptions can frequently be wrong as British Columbia’s environment minister Terry Lake has found out, in a recent interview Lake said: “I think it is safe to say that we expected more jurisdictions to be coming up and joining us in this kind of public policy, that hasn’t happened.“

Damian Carrington Preaches To The Converted & Hopes That Sceptics Will Die Off Quicker

The Truth Behind Earth Day April 22nd 2012
April 22nd 2012 the ecomentalists will be banging gongs, barking at the moon, planning new gulags for sceptics and discussing new ways to suppress discussion and dissent about Climate Religion
The warming alarmists and ecomentalists are staging Earth Day on April 22nd 2012 where they will continue the shift towards “sustainable development“, as well as, pushing the generational divide in the same way that Chairman Mao did with the Cultural Revolution which encouraged children to inform on their parents to the Communist Authorities, and continuing on the youth theme, seek to appoint guardians for unborn generations who doubtless want a Green marxist agrarian society though they don’t actually know it yet.
There will be the usual tired claims about a future of limitless Green energy powered by solar and wind, totally ignoring what happens when the wind ceases to blow and the big orange ball in the sky sinks below the horizon, while the ecotards communicate with the world using products made only possible by fossil fuels and powered by dirty coal and gas fired power stations.
Earth Day’s junior event, Earth Hour was a non event this year continuing its ongoing annual decline, how big Earth Day is remains to be seen.

There Is No Global Race To Lead In Green Technology
China has been building 2 coal fired power stations a week and is now cutting the subsides for wind and solar in line with the rest of the world
China has often been quoted by the warming alarmists and Green NGOs as a shining example of a country that is behind their Green agenda and helping to lead the way in the race for Green technology which will rollback our civilisation 200 years, or at the very least make our power grid like that of North Korea, where they go to bed when the sun goes down.

Sooner or later in politics it is always the fault of the previous government as to why a policy is not working, which normally means the tax paying public hate the policy in question, which in this case is the global warming fear industry and the symbol of the Green agrarian society, the wind turbine.

So I called a number of mortgage providers saying I wanted to buy a house with installed solar panels on a 25 year roof lease, no one provider gave me an outright yes, most wanted to see the agreement with the solar panel company before proceeding further.
