The Cost Of Green Energy Topples The Government In Bulgaria

The citizens of Europe’s poorest country, Bulgaria, take to the streets to protest the cost of Green Energy and Poverty
There is a lesson to learned from events last month in Europe’s poorest country, Bulgaria, well actually there are 2 lessons to be learned, both unfortunately need to be learned by politicians in the rest of Europe, or the world when it comes to it.
The first lesson is that people will not put up with ever increasing electricity bills in the name of saving the planet while a few fat cats and crony capitalists cream off huge profits from Green subsidies on ordinary people’s and businesses energy bills, the second lesson is that Green intermittent renewable energy wreaks havoc on electrical grids, ultimately leading to brown outs and black outs as the grid cannot cope with the sudden Green energy spikes.
History shows that even a short period of rolling black outs will bring down a Government, even in a country like Britain, when in 1974 then Prime Minister Edward Heath took on the miners, with the resulting Three Day Week of rolling power cuts. Heath called an election in February 1974 when the Three Day Week was at its height, and effectively lost the election as he could not form a working majority for Government.
On February 20th this year protests at the cost of Green energy and the resulting increased poverty toppled the government of Boyko Borissov: Read the rest of this entry
Chris Huhne Disgraced Liberal Democrat Climate Change Secretary Goes To Jail

December 2011 Liberal Democrat Climate Change Secretary Chris Huhne planned to force 32000 more monuments to Green stupidity on Britain, today Huhne starts an 8 month jail sentence.
The man at the heart of forcing the Green Agenda on Britain, is today in prison starting an 8 month jail sentence for the crime of Perverting the Course of Justice.
The fall of Liberal Democrat Climate Change Secretary Chris Huhne has been at the speed of sound, this is one occasion when the well worn expression “crashed and burned” really does mean burnt twisted wreckage, in this case Huhne’s now non existent political career, his reputation, his credibility and his relationship with his children.
Prior to suddenly pleading guilty just before his trial was due to start Huhne continually lied about being guilty, he used every trick in the book to keep the case out of court and gag any reporting of the proceedings, which makes Huhne’s mea culpa moment on Channel 4 News tonight look all the more cynical, with Huhne already having an eye on his post prison career moves.
Huhne’s ex-wife Vicky Pryce was also sentenced today, she too received an 8 month prison sentence for Perverting the Course of Justice: Read the rest of this entry
How To Make Wind And Solar Appear Cheaper
It is no secret that the Green dream of wind and solar energy cannot survive without huge Green taxation in the form of subsidies on all energy bills, the minute that there is talk of subsidy cuts the whole renewables industry goes into meltdown, if you need proof just look at Big Wind in the USA screaming when the Wind Production Tax Credit (PTC) that subsidies American Wind looked like it would not be renewed, or Britain where solar energy companies are suing the Government for cutting the subsidies paid for electricity generated by solar panels.
Any industry that is based on tax payer subsidy is not a real economically viable business, it is little different from any nationalized enterprise or government department, funded by the bottom less pit of the tax payer wallet.
Wind and solar are expensive, heavily over subsidized by governments because they are supposedly Green, and like a junkie, will never kick their subsidy habit, if you need further proof then consider how many years wind farms have been kept alive by the PTC in the United States, which started in 1992.
A recent study of wind farms in Britain and Denmark has concluded that the operational life of a wind turbine is only 50% of that quoted by the manufacturers, with governments and energy planners basing their projections on 25 year life spans the cost of the wind farm has just doubled.
All these inconvenient truths about renewables are recognized by the warming alarmists who now want to factor in the cost of burning fossil fuels, that could have been used instead for petrochemicals, to make renewable energy look cheaper: Read the rest of this entry
Greens Admit Climate Policies Will Take Decades To Show Any Benefits

Estimating the potential effects of Climate Policies is much the same as guessing how many lives would be saved in accidents that did not happen
A group of leading warming alarmists has admitted that the Climate Change policies that the UN and environmentalists are trying so hard to impose on the world, would take decades, if not longer to show any benefits.
A group of researchers from the usual suspects including, The Tyndall Centre, the University of East Anglia, The Potsdam Institute and the Walker Institute have concluded that tough measures swiftly imposed on global emissions could reduce the impacts of climate change by between 20% – 60%, though there would be no obvious impact until at least 2030 or even much later, like in 90 years from now.
Another great piece of attempted future proofing for the Green boondoggle, if the climate changes one way then the Greens were correct all along, if it goes the other way then the Green measures were not enacted swiftly enough to have prevented disastrous climate change.
Then of course, it would help if they actually knew what constitutes dangerous climate change: Read the rest of this entry
2013 Will Be The Worst Year For Warmists Since Records Began

The only international agreement on being terrified of CO2, the Kyoto Protocol finished at the end of 2012. With no chance of a new Kyoto Treaty being signed up to by the major emitters 2012 ended with another nail hammered into the Green coffin.
2012 was an unprecedented year of disaster and defeat for the Greens and warming alarmists, it was a year that on the face of it offered much hope to the watermelons, in June there was going to be the Rio+20 Earth Summit, COP18 in Doha was going to build on the progress of COP17 and the Durban Platform and the European Union was going to single-handedly enforce a flying tax on the world.
Instead it all went to hell in solar powered hand cart, as Green defeat followed Green defeat.
On January 1st 2012 the EU announced the start of its Green flying tax on all flights in and out of the EU, as global opposition to the Green tax mounted, Comrade Connie Hedegaard, the EU’s unelected Climate Commissar remained bullish and insisted that the world would bow down to her Green will.
Many nations including the US, China and India prohibited their airlines from taking part in the EU flying tax amid threats of a trade war, particularly from China. Finally in November Hedegaard and the EU backed down and suspended their Green flying tax for forever 12 months.
The Rio+20 Earth summit held the promise of the chance to relive the glory days of warming alarmism: Read the rest of this entry
WOW! Sales Of Electric Cars In Britain Might Double In 2013

The Electric car in 1907 had a maximum range of 100 miles, in 2012 the maximum range of an electric car is 100 miles
The Electric Car is yet another example of the absurd Green tokenism that will never work, an artificial market created by Governments, heavily dependent upon tax payer subsidy like all Green ideas, thus far all attempts to create a global market for electric cars have failed.
Britain in common with many countries in the world, has more charging points than there are Electric Vehicles (EV) on the road, the few EVs sold in Britain in the last year have been sold to rich city dwellers who can afford the cost of an EV, normally around £30000. Anyone who buys an EV gets £5000 back in tax payer funded Green subsidy, which as the House of Commons Transport Select Committee has warned results in ordinary tax payers subsidising the rich, so they can be Green and fluffy.
Despite the problems of cost, range anxiety and the length of time it takes for a recharge, sales of EVs in Britain are expected to double in 2013, according to website nextgreencar.com: Read the rest of this entry
