2007 Warming Alarmist Prediction – “Arctic Sea Ice Will Be Gone In Summer 2012″
Arctic sea ice has grown twice the size of Texas in 5 years, when according to warmist predictions the Arctic should be ice free now.
The world was a different place in 2007, the warming alarmists and their fear stories of Environmental Holocaust were believed by a frightened world, Climategate had yet to expose the junk science behind the Green political agenda, it was a time for all those complicit in the Anthropogenic Global Warming scam to make predictions that could not possibly be wrong, or so they arrogantly thought.

Economic Reality & The EU’s Leadership On Climate Change

The warming alarmists take great pride in leading the way, taking the moral high ground, being morally superior in the vain and ill founded hope that other nations will follow their example and commit economic suicide.
The reality is that while one nation commits economic suicide, the others look on in wonderment, Australia’s carbon tax has proved so politically divisive that the Australian Labor Party got hammered at the polls, British Columbia enacted a bold set of climate change policies and assumed others would follow.
Assumptions can frequently be wrong as British Columbia’s environment minister Terry Lake has found out, in a recent interview Lake said: “I think it is safe to say that we expected more jurisdictions to be coming up and joining us in this kind of public policy, that hasn’t happened.“

Rio+20 & What Sustainable Development Really Means

The new name for the objectives of what was once called Global Warming, Climate Change, Climate Disruption, Weather Weirding is sustainable development.
Sustainable development is not a new idea, it first featured in Agenda 21 the UN plan for one world government in the 21st Century, which was the outcome of the Rio Earth Summit in 1992.
Now 20 years on the Rio+20 Earth Summit in June has dropped Anthropogenic Global Warming as the driver for its crusade and resuscitated sustainable development, with the added extras of guardians of the future and a new crime of ecocide.
Sustainable development on the face of it sounds a friendly enough idea, and conjures up visions, as it is supposed to do of people replacing trees that are cut down with new trees, but, and this is the big but of all time, sustainable development means different things to different people.

The Truth Behind Earth Day April 22nd 2012
April 22nd 2012 the ecomentalists will be banging gongs, barking at the moon, planning new gulags for sceptics and discussing new ways to suppress discussion and dissent about Climate Religion
The warming alarmists and ecomentalists are staging Earth Day on April 22nd 2012 where they will continue the shift towards “sustainable development“, as well as, pushing the generational divide in the same way that Chairman Mao did with the Cultural Revolution which encouraged children to inform on their parents to the Communist Authorities, and continuing on the youth theme, seek to appoint guardians for unborn generations who doubtless want a Green marxist agrarian society though they don’t actually know it yet.
There will be the usual tired claims about a future of limitless Green energy powered by solar and wind, totally ignoring what happens when the wind ceases to blow and the big orange ball in the sky sinks below the horizon, while the ecotards communicate with the world using products made only possible by fossil fuels and powered by dirty coal and gas fired power stations.
Earth Day’s junior event, Earth Hour was a non event this year continuing its ongoing annual decline, how big Earth Day is remains to be seen.

The Maldives & Warmist Conspiracy Theories
Mohamed Nasheed, former President of the allegedly sinking Maldives was ousted in a coup in February 2012, warmists are now spinning the idea that he was overthrown because of his support for Climate Change
In the run up to COP15 in Copenhagen the alleged plight of islands like the Maldives and Tuvalu were part of the climate of fear campaign that preceded the failure that COP15 became.
Mohamed Nasheed then President of the Maldives famously held a cabinet meeting underwater to cynically push the lie thar rising sea levels would drown the islands, at the same time Nasheed and his government were planning a new airport to deal with increased tourist traffic in the next 25 years, though Nasheed and the warming alarmists were claiming that the islands would be gone by 2019.
Nasheed was one of the darlings of the warming alarmist movements, his overthrow in February caused dismay and now they have made a film about Nasheed called the “The Island President“, which naturally attributes Nasheed with powers similar to that of Kim Jong il.

James Hansen director of NASA’s Goddard Space Center, has since the 1980s been spreading predictions global warming fear stories and predictions of environmental Armageddon, none of which have come true.

Another ecofacist slid out from under a stone calling climate change sceptics and those that don’t believe science is ever settled sick racists, Professor Kari Norgaard was then erased by other warming alarmists from the University of Oregon website.
Nordgaard was to going to present her diatribe of hate at the Planet Under Pressure meeting that the video clip is from, however, Norgaard has become so toxic that there is no mention of her speaking at Planet Under Pressure, though the other ecofacists did become very excited at the prospect of non-economic growth models, which are easily achievable when a country pins its hopes for energy security on renewables. The rebranding of Climate Change, Global Warming, Climate Disruption Global Weirding continued this week with much orchestrated fear about the future and suspect predictions for increasing extreme weather events, then the IPCC went and screwed the whole thing up by saying they had no idea if the Climate were becoming more extreme. Kind of embarrassing when the organisation that supports the AGW scam doesn’t back the evangelists in the field.
A new peer reviewed paper proved that the Medieval Warming Period was global, not just limited to Europe as Michael Mann and the ecotards would have us all believe, it was 2.5C warmer for 500 years and atmospheric CO2 was approximately 66% of 2012 levels, a seriously inconvenient truth for the backbone of the AGW scare.
The Arctic ice sheet continues to grow apace, despite warmist claims to the contrary, while the HadCRUT dataset that is the IPCC’s gold standard for climate modelling shows February 2012 to be the coldest for 18 years. Read the rest of this entry

Chancellor George Osborne signalled the start of the dash for gas in today’s Budget speech in the House of Commons, backed up with a £3 billion allowance for new gas and oil fields to the west of the Shetland Islands.
The wailing and gnashing of teeth from the marxist agrarian ecomentalists was almost immediate, with the usual chorus of Green jobs, low carbon economy, CO2 emissions targets, the old worn out lie that fossil fuel prices will only ever rise, and usual, completely ignoring shale gas and fracking. Why Do Green Environmentalists Oppose Everything
The only fairytale is that CO2 is the main driver of climate, not the sun
“Dash for Gas angers campaigners” trumpets the Guardian with the usual righteous indignation because the Green environmental movement is upset.
The Greens naturally oppose anything that is not heavily subsidised politically correct Green renewable energy, never a movement to be confused with real facts, they are programmed to automatically oppose any form of affordable reliable energy.
The extravagant and erroneous statements they make about solar power for example: “There are enough roof tops in Britain for the country to provide its energy needs“; doubtless there is sufficient roof space for this Green wet dream, the problem is that the most significant part of this equation, the big orange ball in the sky does not always shine and is conspicuous by its absence at night.
The same goes for wind farms, which despite getting billions in Green subsidies fail to generate more than 3.3% of Britain’s electricity needs and suffer from the problems of no wind, too much wind and not very often being able to generate sufficient power at times of peak demand.
