The Green NGOs are virtually impossible to keep happy when it comes to energy generation, fossil fueled power stations are evil because they emit CO2 and nuclear is evil, because it is nuclear.
Which leaves renewable energy like wind, solar and the long established hydroelectricity, none of which emit CO2 during energy generation, well that is the theory, the practice is somewhat different.
Wind Farms off the coast of Heligoland hum to the sound of diesel engines keeping the wind turbines turning over as someone forgot the necessary infrastructure to connect the wind farm to the German grid. In China a lake of toxic waste from wind turbine magnet production surrounds the town of Batou, while in Sudbury, Ontario nickel used in the production of the Green Toyota Prius has created a dead wasteland for many miles around, which NASA use for testing moon rovers.
Strangely neither of these desecrations of Gaia have upset the ecomentalists.

Climate Change Sceptics Are Sick Racists
University of Oregon Professor Kari Norgaard "sceptics are sick racists"
Ugly Betty tribute act Professor Kari Marie Norgaard of Oregon University already thinks that people who don’t believe in Climate Religion are as evil as racists.
Now Norgaard wants people to be brainwashed and drugged so they can join the enlightened Greens and come on board for the big win for the settled science of Anthropogenic Global Warming.
Norgaard is not the first ecofacist to want Stalinesque treatment for climate change sceptics, eco gulags have already been suggested to re-educate those that dare to question the doctrine of Climate Religion, while in Australia a Green parliamentary candidate thinks suspension of the democratic process is justified to force the Green marxist state on the world. Climate Change – Inconvenient Truth Weekly Round-Up
The rebranding of Climate Change, Global Warming, Climate Disruption Global Weirding continued this week with much orchestrated fear about the future and suspect predictions for increasing extreme weather events, then the IPCC went and screwed the whole thing up by saying they had no idea if the Climate were becoming more extreme. Kind of embarrassing when the organisation that supports the AGW scam doesn’t back the evangelists in the field.
A new peer reviewed paper proved that the Medieval Warming Period was global, not just limited to Europe as Michael Mann and the ecotards would have us all believe, it was 2.5C warmer for 500 years and atmospheric CO2 was approximately 66% of 2012 levels, a seriously inconvenient truth for the backbone of the AGW scare.
The Arctic ice sheet continues to grow apace, despite warmist claims to the contrary, while the HadCRUT dataset that is the IPCC’s gold standard for climate modelling shows February 2012 to be the coldest for 18 years. Read the rest of this entry

The European Green Agenda Is In Crisis

The winds of change are blowing through the corridors of power in Europe, the once unassailable and politically correct Green Agenda is getting buffeted from all sides.
Germany once so keen on being Green has found that Greenness costs more money than the Germany economy can afford, the €100 billion solar failure and a looming global trade war over the EU’s illegal Green flying tax have proved too much for Germany, where Climate Change skepticism now abounds.
The EU has until been recently one of the last places on earth where Climate Religion is taken seriously, the Green agenda was relentlessly pursued by former British Climate Change minister Chris Huhne and unelected EU Climate Commissar Connie Hedegaard who wanted ever more stringent emissions legislation in the erroneous and forlorn hope that the rest of the world would follow their idiocy.

Germany Wants EU To Abandon Green Flying Tax
Pigs have really flown, Germany wants EU to climb down over the Green flying tax
On January 1st 2012 the EU Green flying tax came into being and was immediately greeted with global opposition and every likelihood of a global trade war where the bankrupt EU takes on the rest of the world.
Germany was one of the first countries to start Greening their economy, which has turned out to be the usual Green financial disaster as energy intensive industry is deserting Germany in droves for countries with a more realistic energy policies that are not hamstrung by devotion to Climate Religion.
German Solar has been a €100 billion economic disaster, wind farms have been built with no way to connect to the German electrical grid and a report in January from the European Institute for Climate and Energy (EIKE) said that renewable energy was destroying the German economy.
There is no doubt that the mighty German economy is feeling the pressure of the Euro crisis, and most of all, the ever more expensive Green renewable energy bill which is why Germany will slash Green solar subsidies by 30% from March 9th this year, this action is widely regarded by the Green subsidy junkies and ecomentalist NGOs as the death of German solar.

Huhne has been gone barely a month and the edifice that once was the British branch of the Church of Climatology is disintegrating faster by the day.
Finally David “Heir to Tony Blair” Cameron has spoken out against wind turbines as public and political pressure has reached boiling point over the costs of Green taxation on energy bills.

The wishful thinking of Green jobs creation, here the results of Obamas green jobs plan
One of the frequently repeated mantras of the warming alarmists is that Green energy creates a thriving Green economy and Green jobs, the global evidence tells a different story, but then the facts and warming alarmism have never been the best of friends.
A report by the US House of Representatives in September last year concluded that the so called Green jobs revolution had failed globally and there were no such things as long term Green jobs.
Spain was an early player in Green energy and has paid a heavy price for believing in the Green Dream, 2.2 jobs killed in conventional industries, for each Green job created.

National Trust – “The Public Menace Of Wind Farms”
The National Trust is now "deeply sceptical" of wind power
The National Trust has joined the rebellion against the menace of bird choppers, the symbol of Green renewable energy is deeply hated for a whole range of reasons, from despoiling the countryside to the huge amounts of Green taxation and increases to the energy bills via Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROC), wind turbines cause.
