Across the industrialised world the belief in man made Global Warming, Climate Change or whatever the scan has been renamed is falling.

A recent Pew Research Center annual poll in the US has fear of Anthropogenic Global Warming as the 22nd most important priority for voters, out of 22 priorities, people just dont believe the Green lies and junk science anymore.

Climategate is widely believed to be responsible for the loss of faith in Climate Religion, but new Government figures in Britain show that belief in the Green Environmental Holocaust had already started to decline  in the summer of 2009, several months before the Climategate story broke for the first time.

Public concern about climate change is on the wane. The number of people willing to alter the way they live in the hope of making a difference to global warming fell by around 10 per cent last year. There was also a sharp drop in those who regarded themselves as ‘fairly concerned’ about climate change.

The figures, released by the Government yesterday, suggest that doubts about global warming have been growing since the summer of 2009.

This was before the damage inflicted on the cause by the ‘Climategate’ scandal later that year, in which leading scientists were accused of manipulating data to support the case of man-made climate change.

The credibility of global warming and concern about halting it appears to have been affected by the succession of three cold winters between 2008 and 2010.

More recently, doubts about the efficiency of wind turbines and the high costs of the Coalition’s drive for renewable energy have seen enthusiasm for the cause dwindling.

The bad news for the Green environmentalists in Britain is that lack of belief in man made Climate Change has gone mainstream, no longer the preserve of bloggers and a few journalists the stream of never ending failed predictions of environmental catastrophe,  coupled with  the public awareness of the huge Green subsidies on their energy bills , to support the unreliable wind an solar energy generation systems that are  central to the Green Dream.

Fewer people said they were willing to use public transport or reduce how often they used their car, and only one in five said they would cut back on air travel. Most opposed higher taxes on air travel and petrol.

The major driving force behind the man made Global Warming scam, the UN, is only too well aware that Climate Change is a toxic subject so expect a shift in terminology as the Green zealots try to save their Green Dream, just as Global Warming begat Climate Change, which in turn begat Climate Disruption, now expert terms like “sustainable development” and “environmental justice”.

It makes no difference the agenda is still the same, one world government which controls the one world bank and hopes for a Green Marxist future controlled by the rich self-appointed Green champange  environmentalists.

The disproportionate influence of the Lib  Dems on the coalition government has been clearly shown in many fudged policy decisions, the worst of which is the whole renewables crusade driven entirely by Chris Huhne and his insane personal desire to have 32,000 on shore bird choppers.

The coalition government is shaky at best, if this were not the case then the disingenuous Huhne would not have lasted so long, Huhne has in fact achieved nothing but promoting his Climate Religion and helped line the pockets of those rich enough to own enough land to have a windfarm cash generater that pays when it generates electricty, and also pays when it does not generate electricty.

British windfarms have been paid millions of pounds to not generate electricity, which Huhne seems to think is reasonable and provides cost effective power, most probably because Greenpeace, WWF and FoE told Huhne that Green subsidised energy is cheap, politically correct and wholly endorsed by the Church of Climatology.

Now, at last MPs are hearing the uproar about the whole Green renewables scam, well at least Tory MPs are, don’t expect any opposition from the Green socialists in the Labour and Lib Dem parties.

DAVID Cameron is under fresh pressure from his own backbenchers to slash subsidies for controversial onshore wind farms. Dozens of Tory MPs are joining forces in a new group pressing for the Government to review funding for a technology they argue does “more harm than good”.

Selby and Ainsty MP Nigel Adams, one of those who attended the group’s first meeting, urged the Prime Minister to act in the House of Commons yesterday by focusing support on “cost-effective and reliable” technologies like biomass rather than “inefficient, costly, large-scale onshore wind farms”.

He told the Yorkshire Post onshore wind farms were “cash cows” and added: “One person’s subsidy is another person’s tax, but if you do have this pot of money to encourage green energy I’d much rather see if be used on proven, reliable, cost-effective technology like biomass.”

The group, led by Daventry MP Chris Heaton-Harris, marks a significant shift in pressure on the Government from its own MPs over onshore wind farms which have often proved controversial, particularly when located near some of Yorkshire’s beauty spots.

“Cast Iron” Dave has two problems facing him now:

Cameron’s hold over his backbench MP’s is tenuous and politically he cannot afford a rebellion, the other is upsetting Little Nicky Clegg and his Lib Dems.

Chris Huhne is not popular in the coalition, not even with his own party, but Huhne is 20% of the Lib Dem presence in the Cabinet and a one time Lib Dem leadership contender.

Assuming Chris Huhne is charged with perverting the course of justice, then he will be removed and ergo the problem is largely neutralised  as the lunatic evangelist for Climate Religion approved energy will be gone, if Huhne is not charged then Cameron will be caught between his backbenchers and the Lib Dems, all the while  chained to a suicidal energy policy.

The BBC funded by a television tax, that if not paid can and does, result in people being sent to prison for non payment is supposed by law to be impartial in its news reporting.

The BBC’s coverage of the Environment and Climate Change has been repeatedly criticised as not only news and science have been corrupted,  but also entertainment where brain dead lightweights like Chris Evans likened AGW to “lighting a fire in your living room“.

Even in a second rate remake of Day of the Triffids man made climate change was the reason for the Triffids rise, the BBC has managed to get Climate Change in to just about everything it broadcasts.

In something worthy of the now defunct Eastern Bloc the BBC Trust investigated the BBC’s Science reporting Religious Programming on Climate Change, and concluded that the coverage  is not biased enough in favour of the Green agenda, bearing in mind that the BBC is legally bound to be impartial,  and in the words of its own report it needs to discard impartiality.

Desperate to appease his Green ecomentalist supporters Obama cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline that could have provided around 180,000 jobs in the next 20 years.

• The Canadian Energy Research Institute estimated that the recently killed Keystone XL Pipeline would have created 179,000 American jobs by 2035.

• The House Energy and Commerce Committee website cited the statistics of Professor Joseph Mason of Louisiana State University: Obama’s Gulf of Mexico drilling ban will result in $4.4 billion in lost economic output and 19,000 in job losses.

Regardless of clean energy’s economic viability, no elected official should get away with misleading taxpayers and voters to this degree.

To avoid too much confrontation the UN has dropped Climate Change from the summit agenda

After the COP17 Durban failure, the next great hope for the warming alarmists was the UN Rio+20 summit in June, not anymore, in an move to reduce confrontation between the various parties attending Climate Change has been dropped from the agenda.

Instead the summit will concentrate on sustainable development which is defined as making sure economies can grow now without endangering resources and the environment for future generations, effectively Climate Change by another name, but by not speaking its name the UN are hoping for agreement.

The outcome however, will more than likely still be another massive fail for the UN, despite changing the date so British PM David Cameron could attend, “Cast Iron” Dave is still not going to Rio.

Representatives from around the world gather in Rio in June to try to hammer out goals for sustainable development at a U.N. conference designed to avoid being tripped up by the intractable issue of climate change.

But there is concern in the lead-up to the conference, known as Rio+20 or the Earth Summit, that it risks ending up as all talk and little action.

In an attempt to avoid too much confrontation, the conference will focus not on climate change but on sustainable development – making sure economies can grow now without endangering resources and the environment for future generations.

U.N. conferences over the past decade have begun with high hopes for agreements to compel nations to cut climate-warming emissions and help adapt to a hotter world, but they often ended with disappointingly modest results. That was the case last year in the global climate change summit in Durban, South Africa. Participants at that meeting agreed to forge a new deal by 2015 that would go into force by 2020.

The “sustainable” branding for this year’s summit, rather than climate, is by design, said Ambassador Andre Correa do Lago, who headed Brazil’s delegation to the U.N. climate talks in Durban and will be a chief negotiator for Brazil in Rio.

Sustainable development is an easier sell globally than climate change, even though sustainable development is a way of tackling global warming and other environmental issues, he said.

The whole Climate Change scam has been so damaged by Climategate the new angle will be “sustainable development” and “environmental justice” as window dressing, the goals of wealth redistribution and One World Green Government remain unchanged.

With the planet being the coldest it has been for a decade it is comforting to know that the decrease in solar activity will not stop the run away global warming caused by obscene levels of atmospheric CO2 that the Earth is experiencing.

Well that’s the story from the UK Met Office famed for its useless weather forecasting,  it has conjoined with Reading University to produce a new fear scenario all based on a single computer model’s predictions.

In November 2010 the Met Office found that the world was warming faster than they thought, so no big surprises that nothing can stop the inexorable rise of global temperatures and the Guardian are ecstatic that Armageddon is still scheduled for a vague date in the future:

A reduction in the Sun’s activity is expected this century, but is unlikely to do much to slow global warming due to greenhouse gases, scientists said on Monday.

Research by the Met Office and the University of Reading looked at the most likely changes in the Sun’s activity and found that its output was likely to decrease up to 2100, from the “grand maximum” seen in the 20th century.

But this would only cause a reduction in global temperatures of about 0.08C over that time, in comparison to projected rises of 2.5C by 2100 as a result of rising greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.

Even if solar activity fell to levels seen in the so-called Maunder minimum, between 1645 and 1715, when the Sun’s output was at its lowest recorded level, the reduction in temperature would only be 0.13C.

The study looked at a range of possible projections of solar activity over the coming century and then applied them to one climate model, taken from the middle of the range of models, to see how it might affect temperatures.

Gareth Jones, climate change detection scientist with the Met Office, said it was important to note the study – due to be published in the Journal of Geophysical Research, Atmospheres – was based on just one climate model.

But he said: “This research shows that the most likely change in the Sun’s output will not have a big impact on global temperatures or do much to slow the warming we expect from greenhouse gases.”

It might only be one computer model, but the model has to be right because our faith tell us so and to question anything in Climate Science is politically incorrect blasphemy.

The CO2 driver theory of weather and climate is delusional nonsense propagated by a self-serving failed sect. Their ‘theory’ fails to explain past weather and climate; all its predictions over the last ten years have failed and it cannot and never will predict anything.

The dangerous delusional CO2 sect must be destroyed before it’s diktats destroy the world economy and thousands more lives are lost from the chosen refusal of governments across the world to allow the application of scientific advanced forecasting of extreme weather which can help reduce disruption and destruction and save money and lives.

Corbyn has an enviable record in weather forecasting being consistently correct when the Met Office were, well just wrong.

The debate about the cost of renewable energy has become major headline news with on one side Chris Huhne and his Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) declaring that Green taxation or Feedin Tariffs wont add anything to the cost of energy bills in 2020, in fact in Huhne’s world people will be better off, and on the other side of the debate many think tanks and economists think that renewables will have added £250 – £400 a year to energy bills.

MP Dominic Raab submitted a Freedom of Information request to DECC about the costs of renewable energy, DECC refused the request saying they did not have the information.

Policy Exchange has published a report estimating the cost of renewables in 2020 on energy bills will be £400:

The response from DECC has been astonishingly defensive, attempting to rubbish the work, and claiming that it is “not a credible figure and appears to be based on flawed analysis”. They don’t say why they think this.

This comes on top of DECC’s refusal to release information about climate policy costs to Dominic Raab MP.

This research was undertaken with care by one of the country’s leading experts. The assumptions are in many case extremely conservative, and are fully explained in the report. Clearly all assumptions about what is going to happen in 2020 will necessarily be flawed. But that goes for DECC’s too. And furthermore, Policy Exchange’s finding is broadly consistent with DECC’s own published figures, as far as they go.

If DECC is to substantiate their criticism, they must really publish and explain their own estimate of the full cost of renewable energy subsidies on households.

It is to be expected that RenewableUK and other rent-seeking representatives of the renewable industry will dismiss reports that criticise the scale of expensive subsidies that support their industry.

The one thing you can always count on Chris Huhne,  had this to say:

There is no such increase in the cost to families, but what there are is a load of rather silly think tanks trying to differentiate themselves in a crowded market by coming up with wild and woolly estimates to get headlines in the Daily Mail and the Daily Telegraph. They would save an awful lot of people some high blood pressure moments if their so-called economists bothered to pop in to Decc and get put right on some elementary A-level howlers. All our figures are there to see on the website, and we are committed to updating them every year. We have SAVED families money compared with the last government by removing the levies for carbon capture and storage and the renewable heat incentive. Overall, the impact of our policies on bills in 2020 is estimated to CUT bills by 7 per cent.”

Utterly priceless, much like energy bills in 2020 come to that.

Lib Dem Leader Nick Clegg -He and David Cameron would have to take a view if Huhne is charged

“The Prime Minister has confidence in the Energy Secretary” says a Downing Street spokeswoman, which effectively means that Huhne is toast if he is charged with perverting the course of justice, cast iron Dave now only has confidence in the Minister for Climate Religion and bird choppers, somewhere along the line “every” has become a political casualty.

Huhne has always maintained that he will hang to his cabinet position if charged, Cameron has now made it clear that he will make the decision not Huhne.

The Deputy Prime Minister’s comments appeared to ruin suggestions that his Liberal Democrat colleague could hold on to his job in such circumstances. Mr Huhne’s allies had suggested that he could stay in the Cabinet because the ministerial code, which sets the standards for the behaviour of ministers, does not explicitly say he would have to resign.

But Mr Clegg said yesterday that he and David Cameron would have to “take a view” if the Crown Prosecution Service decided to press charges over claims that Mr Huhne persuaded Vicky Pryce, who his wife at the time, to take speeding points on his behalf.

“Of course, that is a very serious issue if that were to arise,” he said on the Andrew Marr Show on BBC One. “We as a Government want the highest standards of probity to be in place in everything that is done by Cabinet members.”

Huhne  manages to alienate most people he comes in contact with, from personal attacks on Lib Dem Leader Nick Clegg during Huhne’s failed bid to become Leader of the Lib Dems to briefing against cabinet colleagues on Twitter, Huhne is all out of friends.

Mr Clegg dropped hints yesterday that David Laws could be invited back to join the Government.

He was forced to resign in 2010 after The Daily Telegraph disclosed that he had claimed £40,000 in expenses while living with his long-term partner, James Lundie.

“I would like to see David Laws back in Government – not just because I admire him a lot and he is a close colleague and friend of mine – I just so happen to think he would be very good for the Government and good for Britain,” Mr Clegg said.

When the Leader of your political party and deputy Prime Minister is openly talking about your replacement then your future is looking bleak, much like the future of Huhne’s wind turbines really.

The opposition to wind farms in Britain is growing steadily, from just local groups opposed to the building of bird choppers all way to an all party group of MP’s opposed to wind farms.

At last Westminster has caught up with public opinion that wind farms are heavily subsidised, inefficient, expensive and they destroy landscapes.

In the scramble to meet Chris Huhne’s desire for 32,000 wind turbines Huhne’s Follies all objections to wind farms are trampled flat, even when it is acknowledged the wind farms kill protected birds and destroy sights of natural beauty, or historical significance.

A NEW cross-party campaign group is to be set up in Westminster to demand the Government drops its support for thousands more wind farms. Backbench MPs from all parties will brand heavily subsidised onshore wind farms inefficient, expensive and a major blight on the landscape. They will urge Ministers to re-think a policy which will add £280 to the annual energy bill of hard-pressed homeowners by 2020.

Tory Chris Heaton-Harris, Daventry MP, is the driving force behind the new parliamentary pressure group.

He said: “Ministers need to look at this policy again. It is an inefficient technology, it adds to the bills of consumers, it harms the balance of the National Grid, it is the wrong renew­able for the UK. We need a change of policy.” Britain is the only country in the world to have signed up to cut CO2 emissions by 2050. The pledge, enshrined in the Climate Change Act, requires a major expansion of wind farm development bankrolled by taxpayer subsidies.

Official figures from the Department for Energy and Climate Change suggest up to 32,000 more wind turbines could be erected in the next 20 years, of which 6,000 would be onshore sites.

At present, there are about 3,000 onshore wind turbines with a few hundred off shore. They generate less than two per cent of the nation’s power and are frequently brought to a standstill by too cold or too windy conditions.

MPs have grown alarmed by a trend for onshore wind farm applications to be approved on appeal because of Mr Huhne’s target, even when inspectors concede they will be a blight.

Nothing stands in the way of the Green zealots and their renewable energy crusade, even protected bird species are justifiable collateral damage, as was amply demonstrated by the RSPB with this statement “Any threat has to be weighed against the national imperative to develop green energy sources“.

Nothing can stop the Green steamroller, once it was politically expedient to represent endangered species, how times have changed.

In the Lords last week, Lord Naseby, patron of the Naseby Battlefield Project, urged Communities Secretary Eric Pickles to call in the decision, which he said would devastate the view of the Civil War battlefield.

“We do not have the funds to challenge in the High Court. However, the Secretary of State has the right to call it in at any point,” he said.

Each year thousands of tourists visit the site of the 1645 battle in which Oliver Cromwell’s New Model Army destroyed the forces of King Charles I.

It was a turning point in British history, and the site was heralded as “the birthplace of democracy in England” by Lord Peter Brooke of Sutton Mandeville.

The birthplace of English democracy counts for nothing to Europhile Huhne,  and even less to the Green environmentalists, nothing must stop the progress of returning to the Green Agrarian society.

The end of Chris Huhne saga is drawing closer as what is widely regarded as the last obstacle to charging Huhne is gone.

Just before Christmas 2011 Essex Police made it clear that they want Huhne and his estranged wife Vicky Price charged with perverting the course of justice and lesser speeding charges.

Sources at the Crown Prosecution Service said they expect a decision to be taken in “weeks rather than months”.

The publishers of the Sunday Times today dropped their challenge to a police bid to obtain emails relating to the Chris Huhne speeding case.

Times Newspapers Ltd were expected to ask the High Court in London to quash a Crown Court order requiring production of the emails to Essex Police.

Times lawyers also wanted Lord Justice Toulson and Mr Justice Cranston to declare that a judge sitting at Chelmsford Crown Court erred in law when he issued the order last October.

The case concerns emails between Vicky Pryce, Mr Huhne’s ex-wife, and Isabel Oakeshott, the Sunday Times political editor.

It follows allegations that the Energy Secretary asked his former wife to take speeding points for him.

But today the publishers withdrew their application.

A Downing Street spokeswoman today declined to speculate on whether Mr Huhne could remain a minister if he is charged with an offence, saying only that members of the Cabinet are appointed by the Prime Minister and are subject to the ministerial code.

Vicky Pryce sent more than 100 emails to the Sunday Times the contents of which are believed to very damaging to Huhne, police already have a text message between Huhne and his son that discusses the consequences of a potential prosecution.

At the hearing, Andrew Edis QC, for Essex police and the Crown Prosecution Service, said: “It will now be possible to move proceedings on towards a charging decision. However, there is a criminal investigation.

“It is, therefore, conceivable that one outcome will be that there will be charges and therefore criminal proceedings will follow.

“There may be criminal charges which may in due course be tried.”
